Posted on 2024-04-09The Journal of Community Research is a new, open access, community research journal. It aims to bring together research and writing that investigates communities and the issues that confront them. The Journal of Community Research is interested in all types of community, the people within those communities and how they interact with each other. The journal covers every aspect of community research, reporting on latest findings, discussing practice, and examining a broad range of related topics. It aims to be an innovative, flexible, peer reviewed journal that is read by community educators, researchers, practitioners, and students who wish to keep up to date with developments in the field.
We encourage you to get in touch if you think you have an idea suitable for our journal. We welcome submissions from students and early career researchers, as well as those with more publishing experience. We are also keen to publish articles by community-based practitioners and activists, whether sole authored or written in partnership with academic researchers.
Submissions are encouraged in a variety of lengths, styles and we are keen to review ideas, shorter papers and other creative and engaging ways to communicate research findings. Submissions should be a maximum of 7,000 words for academic research articles, or 1,500 words for practice notes and book reviews.
